Account holders

If you are invited to help manage the Food Forest we store only your name, email address and scout group, plus a securely hashed password. We use these to let you sign in and to show who last updated a recipe.

Visitors

When anyone views a site or tree page we record which page was viewed, when, and a shortened IP address (the last part is removed so it can't identify you). We use this only to count visits. Visit records are deleted automatically after a year.

Maps

Maps on this site are drawn using map images from OpenStreetMap. To show a map your browser downloads those images directly from OpenStreetMap's servers, which means they see your IP address, as with any website. OpenStreetMap's own privacy policy explains how they handle it. We don't send them anything else about you.

Cookies

We only use cookies that are strictly necessary: one keeps you signed in and one protects forms against forgery. There are no analytics or advertising cookies.
